YachtMinder, Inc. is pleased to announce being appointed as the Exclusive West Coast Dealer for the new Cabrillo line of yachts by San Diego's Sharp Design, the first of which is the Cabrillo 46.
The Cabrillo 46 is a 46’ sedan cockpit motor yacht with a 15’ 9” beam, an up galley and sleeping accommodations for four in two forward cabins, both with ensuite heads. Powered by twin 370 H.P Cummins Diesels, the standard model has a maximum speed of 17 knots, cruising speeds of 8 to 12 knots, and a range of over 800 miles.
Crafted of the best materials and designed to handle blue water seas, the traditionally designed Cabrillo 46 has the inherent charm of a yacht balanced by an equal focus on the practical details required for safe passagemaking, and the comforts expected of a yacht built for pleasure. Established in 1986 by Naval Architect Doug Sharp, Sharp Design is a San Diego based yacht design firm known for Defever and Heritage yacht designs and an impressive portfolio of world-renowned 60 to 100 meter custom motor yachts. With the introduction of the Cabrillo 46, Doug Sharp draws on elements of his large and mid-sized yacht designs to successfully redefine what the West Coast Sedan Cruiser needs to be, a very solidly built coastal cruiser with dependable, sea kindly performance and blue water integrity.
